[6:52] Samael Enigma: that due to continuing conflicts between him and Katrina, and your choice, that he will be removing his objects from the sim, and soon.

[6:54] Samael Enigma: my only problem with it is now I wonder if we should continue to maintain an air of ignorance and proceed with the birthday events as planned, which I plan to do, by the way, or cancel the musican for Monday, as there likely will not be much of a sim left to entertain in

The whole situation arose from katrina returning some items that squag had placed in security, items that had nothing to do with security. a few words were exchanged and then squag tried to put some words in katrinas mouth, which she did not say. Anyway, he then issued an ultimatim to me, that if i didnt get rid of katrina, he would take everything from galaxy. Well, I will not , ever, be subject to any ultimatium, period. I told squag that he was not to delete anything and to get busy compleating the unfinished projects in galaxy.

[7:01] Cobramax Mechanique: this group is not comprised of buildings, its comprised of people, and squag will never, ever have that, he may have a couple of buildings, but thats about it

[7:02] Samael Enigma: aye, I agree. The loss of the buildings should not mean the end of SLQ, and I plan to continue with Activities work regardless
[7:02] Cobramax Mechanique: well, i own all the buildings in Aeon, so im not worried at all about that, and i have removed her estate tools abilites also.
[7:03] Cobramax Mechanique: any mischief will not prevail, others have tried to destroy this group, and we are still standing

[7:04] Samael Enigma: but instead move the Fleet HQ into an orbital station

[7:04] Samael Enigma: giving them more a purpose to get into space, where we belong

[7:04] Samael Enigma: the biggest problem I have with the sim as it is, is it looks like a futuristic office park

[7:05] Samael Enigma: we need to get into space, with ships and space themes more prevalent
[7:05] Samael Enigma: and with CBS coming into SL, it will only help promote our cause that much better, as well as getting us national and INTERnational recognition for skill, talent and ambition
[7:07] Cobramax Mechanique: agreed with that....we can look at this from a positive view, if squag takes stuff, i know that our very talented members will rally and will build something even more impressive
[7:07] Samael Enigma: as a student of computer game design, one of the things I am learning is that we do not need to reinvent the wheel.

[7:08] Cobramax Mechanique: reminds me of what i did in tribes2 construcction, i made a trek mod, with objects already available, just rearrainged them....
[7:08] Samael Enigma: I think maybe we should take a clue from the build of Sector001, and do something similar, but not exactly the same.
[7:09] Samael Enigma: use what works, discard what doesn't, and rebuild accordingly
[7:11] Cobramax Mechanique: Well, up to now, i think we have had a beutiful sim, but we can always improve, and we wont let these events deter us, so, whatever squag or anyone else does, we will overcome it and keep right on going....to the stars and beyond!

This actually explains a lot of things. Especially all the hype when my PC lagged so much that I returned a security orb by accident (my bad, I know), never even realised I had done it until Qlet told me...

Besides who actually expects a security 'orb' to be square, and covered in pink squiggley lines?

Either way, I have read Jasiths proposal and I agree with it. Galaxy has been stagnant for a while and it needs a change. Sure the HQ is nice, but its a nice office building. We need something Star Trek, as for the houses, move them into Aeon for a while.

If the worse comes to the worst and Squag leaves then it just opens up the door for newer fresher avenues of building. It won't be a catastrophe, it will be an opportunity.

I support the SLQ group and what is another hurdle when each one catapults the group into new frontiers, where no AV has gone before!

My Decantation is to Galaxy the People the Idea created by Gene Roddenberry! I have worked to that end and will continue to do So!!!

We must move foward! If the HQ buildings go, it sounds that the houses are safe. I have one in Aeon that I use for Personnel training now. I will gladly keep paying the rent to use it as a temporary Personnel Office so we can keep the membership growing while we rebuild Galaxy if needed. SFSLQ has my support, completely!

If ever there was a time when StarfleetSLQ needed you and your service, the time may well be approaching fast.

When you joined StarfleetSLQ, you did so out of your love of Star Trek, however, StarfleetSLQ is more than just a collection of buildings, it is a also a very large collection of people dedicated to the ideals of Star Trek.

When you joined the Personnel Division, you probably did so out of a sense of duty to serve the greater good of StarfleetSLQ and to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Galaxy.

Now is the time to show your support for the Admirals so we may all continue to enjoy Starfleet SLQ and Galaxy.

We may have some turbulent space in front of us, but I have full faith that the Admirals will navigate us to a better place.

I may be calling on you to step up your efforts in the future, depending on what lies ahead.

On behalf of Medical I would like to state that our work will continue even if all we have is the bare ground the sim is built upon.

Medical itself runs, as the rest of SFCSLQ runs on the strength of it's people and their dedication to our work. I have seldom come across a group of more enthusiastic and talented officers than those I work with.

Although it would sadden me to see the HQ Building and Applied Sciences removed (although seeing lots of floating desks and things could be marginally amusing) we will continue wherever we are needed and if the houses remain we will continue as we do currently to operate from the Hub (Squag's former house in Galaxy) and to ensure our work is not damaged by the actions of one dissatisfied (former) officer.

I would ask all members of Medical (and other subDivisions too) to remain calm and not spread idle gossip around during these difficult times. We all have our issues with various members of the group (as many of you will have heard me express at times) but that should not prevent us from working and enjoying what has been built within the sim. Galaxy & Aeon thrive on the basis of our people, not prims and textures, and should we be left only with the land the Linden's provided, a newer, better sim will grow from what we have left.

Enjoy the weekend everybody, that's the only way to deal with any form of terrorism and attack, to laugh it off and keep your life running as always, because if you change or alter yourself because of the actions of an enemy, they get exactly what they want.

PS. For what it's worth, I rather like the setup in Galaxy, we ARE Starfleet Command after all, how about we have Galaxy as Command/Academy and then Aeon as a more Starbase type sim? I'm sure we could put the Starbase side of things on the Galaxy side and then a starfield beyond so it looks vaguely realistic?

Alright since this is out in the open, I have two views i want to say...

First, I find all this bickering between members/exmembers, and the paranoia being passed down thru different channels to be quite disturbing, When all this happened i just was kinda like uhhhhhhhh, and didnt know what to say, I know now, that the advent of the JAG corps is needed heavily, to help alleviate the admirals from addressing many different issues that their skill set might not be the best in, And the counseling division makes some sense in the fact that a lot of things wouldnt have happened if there was an outside POV on the situation, a nonpartisan POV, course they have to be asked they cant just be assigned to a situation...but still.

Now with this said, I believe squag did a lot of hard work, back when SL was still new, and he had a lot of great visions, What i don't appreciate is all teh members ready to squash his hard work for nothing, without giving the man credit. He did a good job when he built galaxy, But i also agree with Samael, With the bulldozing of galaxy, it opens it up for possibly better and more themed stuff, and our prim count might even allow us to do many more things.

So long story short, Please don't just dismiss squag and the others as people who didnt do anything, THEY DID DO A LOT!! Give them the recognition they deserve, and remember them as contributing members that had a difference in policy. And lets move on and build and maintain Star Trek in its infinite forms.

I really appreciate this announcement being in the forums, It makes me feel a little better that maybe we could solve our problems as a group not just the owners..(no offense!! )

From the beginning I am in this group to enjoy being a Trekkie, Here in SL we (that is everyone of you and I) have created Starfleet and like any world it is a development of continuous change.

With respect to this cause, Admiral Cobramax and I continue to support the history of the group. In our new members kit there is a note mentioning former admirals, builders and scriptors that made significant contributions to the development of the group.
we do need to up date it. Members are recognized with the awards at the bi-annual balls.

In the SOS outpost in Charminix are our 2004 and 2005 personnel files. the 2006 are in the HQ. The task of keeping up files of members, got to big. So now we have you membership history in the form of cadet classes. These are viewed in the Gallery on the 2nd floor along with many of the groups history events.

Be it good history or not so good we remember those that assist the group. We have always appreciated the work of Commander Squagmire, and when he built the sim he built it for the group
and signed a rl email to that fact.

When it came time to sell the builds to admiral Cobramax he delayed over and over again. Through persistence, the Admiral has purchased most of the sim structures (thanks to your donations)as he should, since they are on his land.

His works will not be forgotten, certainly not. But the group will not be held hostage to whims of others. This is a team!

I want to thank members for the support and understanding during political transition.

Personaly i dont care what hapens ether way and im with the group as a whole but i can not stress this enuff if we have to rebuild and the reson why it does not and should not look completly Trek-ish is that we do not personaly have CBS's permishin to ues any image from startrek and the only ones in SL that do is the Electric Sheep Company that has mebership in UFSL.

I don't think there has ever been a problem with regard to things looking 'Trek-ish'. Neither CBS nor Paramount will be bothered by fans wishing to pay homage to Star Trek in the buildings and role-play that we and others undertake within SL.

This Cadet would like to thank the senior officers for their openness in this situation. I love the look of Galaxy and Aeon, but if it is time for change, then so be it. I believe our Engineers to be some of the most talented builders within SL, and I'm sure that whatever they build, it will be true to the spirit and vision of Star Trek, and truly magnificent to behold.

Reading that and knowing why the Fleet Admiral was that angry is completly justified. I also don't believe that the Admiral gave her permission for that text to be issued. It looks very personal and should not be here. The fact that is has leaked proves that it has leaked from Squagmire on purpose to try and show another side of the Admiral.

The Admiral is a wonderful person. I have spoken to her a few times and its never about her. It's always about you and Galaxy.

If it wasn't for her there WOULD BE NO GALAXY, and 600 members can't be wrong.

If Squagmire had been creating phantom prims on purpose in a public area then squag deserves that anger and Katrina can't have her emotions being held hostage over it. This isn't a professional organisation its for the fans by the fans! We're human and we don't like what we have made flamed.

Most of us here support the Fleet Admiral and this text leaked out by squag only serves to prove that Katrina Bixby is still the victim and so is Galaxy, and you!
