As the title says, I think I should somehow give a start here aswell, and getting to know you guys a little on a more perminent written basis
I'm Vinnie. The name I use here and on many places comes from the cartoon-series 'Biker Mice from Mars'. This has been a series from end 1992 to begin 1996. It's about three martian mice on motorcycles on earth, fighting the bad guys. And now, in a new jacket; they are currently making and airing a new series. More into at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biker_Mice_From_Mars
Sometimes I use my own alterego, which is Vinnie II. He's a fanbased character of my own, but not being used that much. To give a short background. He's (one of) Vinnie's cousins which was presumed to have died years ago.
Anyway, that's the reason you see mee as a martian mouse running around StarFleet Command all the time.
As for Star Trek... It began in the late 80's when Star Trek - The Next Generation was created and for us here; being broadcasted on the british BBC channel. Because (especially then) I was very interested and thrilled about Space and everything around it, I was hooked on it. Also the interesting scientific jibberish which I couldnt understand was just cool nevertheless.
A funny sidenote that my mom used to watch the original Star Trek series when she was a little kid herself. Coinsedence?
But as time went, and my interested in 'space' stayed as they were I kind of grew more fond of both TOS and TNG series.
And with my more knowledge about computers and technologies was just adding more and more.
Now, many years later a friend of mine suggested to use Second Life. I was like, wtf I would need to visit that place for? It seems dull. Anyway, I installed it a few months ago. And when I finally gotten my mouse avatar... I was hooked!
And you can guess the rest ofcourse... I came across StarFleetCommand - SecondLife Quadrant and joined some time later.
What I will do next? Who knows... I try to do my best while I spend time on SFC SLQ.
I just love the roleplays. They are so d**n close to the real things which were on TV.
And at the moment I'm so freakin' thrilled I'm building my own little piece of Star Trek; a Constitution Class Starship as it appeared in the original Star Trek series! Some of you might have noticed it. It's far from finished though and I think I might need help with texturing and scripting.
Last thing to say... I hope enjoy my company on SFC SLQ and let's have some fun!
