Greetings all,
Less than two days after joining the SLQ, I participated in my first Roleplay (Stardate 061027). Had lots of fun with a mix of regulars and fresh cadets like me.
As Lauri Mayfair was actively looking for someone to fill the First Officer role, noone was volunteering, so I decided to take a shot at it. Boy was that a trial by fire: About 20 min into the RP, the Captain was abducted by a Borg drone.
Yours truly was now an acting Captain.
"Oh crap! What do I do now" was what came to mind. Fortunately, everyone was helpful and was feeding input. The Helm officer, which had RP experience was able to hide my absolute lack-of-clueness.
Roleplay can be an exhilarating experience when everyone is cooperating.
I'll have to try Tactical exercises next.
