This note is available in a dispenser by the desk in the Auditorium.
In view of recent attempts to introduce lies about the history of StarFleetCommandSLQ and United Federation Second Life Quadrant or UFSLQ, we will briefly review events as they happened:
When I first went ingame, I found a small group, StarFleetCommand, it had 14 members, among them Katrina Bixby, Chosen Few and some others. The group never met on a regular basis, never had any roleplays or group activities, nothing was happening. However, Katrina and I began doing things with the group, organizing meetings, roleplays, etc, and the members began to participate and have fun.
At a meeting, it was agreed that Katrina Bixby would lead the group, and I supported this as did everyone else, including Chosen Few. So the group stated growing, as Katrina and I began recruiting and holding events and roleplays. We spent many hours, well into the night, processing members, creating personnel files for the personnel viewer, planning events, talking to members and so on. But, we felt happy and that it was well worth it.
However, a member named Eric Groshomme committed a unStarfleet act, he made racist and bigoted slurs against gays and furrys. This was bad, and so we held a court martial. Eric walked out half way thru and set fire to the StarFleet Academy building. What a terrible thing to do! We could not eject Eric, since he was an officer, so the Lindens told us to just form another group.
And so, Katrina and I had Chosen form the new group, since Chosen had a bit more game sl experience that we did. Things went well, and Katrina and I continued to build the new group. Chosen did not participate much in this, preferring to have us do it, even avoiding roleplays and other events. But, Chosen did let us use the Defiant in Indigo. But at a certain point, Chosen started being very negative towards us, making horrible and cutting remarks, tearing up every thing that Katrina and I said, even in the groups fourms! Chosen then told us to leave....
I was devastated...we were being asked to just walk away from what we had built, our blood, sweat and tears had gone into the group. I felt backed up, against a wall, what to do? At the time, I thought that it would only be fair to level the playing field, so we sent a note card explaining what was happening to the members, ejected them from the group, inviting them to the new group and explaining that it would be ok to be in both groups. By and large, all were ok with this, only a handfull took it the wrong way. So the old group stayed small, and Chosen was over them, and not much happend, roleplays fell to the wayside and recruitment fell off.
But, over in the new group, StarFleetCommandSLQ, things started happening ! I puchased a sim, payed the monthly fees, and provided a place for the group! And we grew, by leaps and bounds! Soon we were at 150 again, then 200, then 300...then well, you see us now...a mighty group...over 400 plus strong! And we keep growing and we keep making the group better. Yes, we have some things we need to remedy, and we are doing just that, we are taking bold, decisive steps to make this an even better group! We applaud those of you who are showing a true StarFleet spirit and are resisting the lies and deceits that have been thrown out there, keep up the good work everyone, live long and prosper!
Sincerely, Admiral Cobramax Mechanique, always at your service

*note: I also apologized to chosen and to the members in the UFSLQ forums way back when. I dont know what the response was because Chosen banned me from those forums.
