First, I would like to deeply thank both Lt Hegel and Lt Jinxing for their faith in granting me this position, and the opportunities that come with it. I will do my very best to make both them, and all of SLQ proud.

[15:26] Xannder Schumann: I have been a member of Starfleet Command SecondLife Quadrant for just over a year now. I see these sims as my home in SecondLife, and have done so since almost the day this AV was created. I care very much for the group, it's well being. and where it is going.. and I know that many of us are aware of certain internal conflicts that arrose earlier in the month... and I am not here to weigh in on any of that, but it did motivate me personally. In the year I've been here, I have been fairly inactive in the group. I had never felt fully motivated to become involved before. However, with recent events, I realized that I could either stand about and say "Oh I wish this.." or "I wish that" or I could step forward, get involved, and try to make those wishes a reality

[15:26] Xannder Schumann: So I spoke with several leads, and had several inspiring conversations with Lt Hegel.. and I decided to throw my efforts into making it right. The Engineering Division is the corner stone of this group. We build the ships for Role Play, we design and contstruct the (over abundant amount of) Office Buildings that fill the sim, We *make* the world in which we play.. or we *should* be. But Engineering has been scattered, distant, and at times unorganized.. so it is no wonder other divisions have been trying to do *our* job. But I believe Lt Hegel, Lt Jinxing, and myself can correct that.. that we can turn Engineering back into an organized group of dedicated and talented builders and scripters for the benefit of all SLQ... I have full faith in both officers that we can return Engineering to the foundation of SecondLife Quadrant.
[15:26] Xannder Schumann: To that end I have ideas, and am open fully to the ideas of others within Engineering.. to organize, come together, and be the best Division in this group. There is so much potential in SLQ, we have come so far, but still have so far to go. I see these sims as my home in SecondLife, and have done so since almost the day this AV was created. I care very much for the group, it's well being. and where it is going.. and I know that many of us are aware of certain internal conflicts that arrose earlier in the month... and I am not here to weigh in on any of that, but it did motivate me personally. In the year I've been here, I have been fairly inactive in the group. I had never felt fully motivated to become involved before. However, with recent events, I realized that I could either stand about and say "Oh I wish this.." or "I wish that" or I could step forward, get involved, and try to make those wishes a reality

[15:26] Xannder Schumann: So I spoke with several leads, and had several inspiring conversations with Lt Hegel.. and I decided to throw my efforts into making it right. The Engineering Division is the corner stone of this group. We build the ships for Role Play, we design and contstruct the (over abundant amount of) Office Buildings that fill the sim, We *make* the world in which we play.. or we *should* be. But Engineering has been scattered, distant, and at times unorganized.. so it is no wonder other divisions have been trying to do *our* job. But I believe Lt Hegel, Lt Jinxing, and myself can correct that.. that we can turn Engineering back into an organized group of dedicated and talented builders and scripters for the benefit of all SLQ... I have full faith in both officers that we can return Engineering to the foundation of SecondLife Quadrant.

There is so much potential in SLQ, we have come so far, but still have so far to go.
