[15:14] Fizz Okame: hola....
[15:14] Totalus Karas: and as the Admiral just said this is a the EUROC report
[15:15] Totalus Karas: so lets begin i'll try to keep this as painless and short as possible
[15:15] Totalus Karas: This is more of a public annoucement rather than a report hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to give you the low down of the work we're doing in the department or hopefully you will see for yourselves.
[15:15] Totalus Karas: Let me start by saying that I will answer all your questions at the end and if I cannot, to keep my report/announcement short I am more than happy to discuss things afterwards at your convieniance.
[15:16] Totalus Karas: As a sim we are a diverse group ranging from Canadians too Americans, and the dutch. We're a very collected group and assortment, however there is a problem that lies within and this is where my department and I come in, I shall now explain from all your puzzled looks.
[15:16] Totalus Karas: We were created to help this sim evolve into a more substantial and equal sim as in the case of Star Trek where everyone is equal in every sense of the word. Okay we can't do that here because not everyone is the same but we can work towards it.
[15:17] Totalus Karas: EUROC in its full name is European Recreational Operations Centre and we are here to make sure that the Europeans in this sim also has there fair share of fun, as not one for nitpicking but a large proportion of events and activities are held late at night for us and some of us dont get the full opportunity too attend.
[15:17] Totalus Karas: Well... my department and I want to begin on challenging and changing the way this sim currently works and thinks by asking for activities and events or making more of them at more friendlier times for those of us who cannot be at the late night sessions.
[15:18] Totalus Karas: This goes not just for us but for everyone as there is so much potential here in this wonderful sim of ours and yet it isnt being used. So as a sim and a large group I would like us too work together for the proposed 24/7 goal and have a variety of fun through out the day for which I might be as bold to say currently we do not have.
[15:18] Areyn Laurasia nods.
[15:18] Totalus Karas: In short and in closing, I am now asking you for your help... to join the EUROC department and help us make this sim more equal you can find our application form in our base in the upper right corner crossing the border from Galaxy into Constellation at the ROC centre look for the NNZ, I really look forward to a bright new future for us as this is only just the beginning.

[15:21] Ronald Voss:
[15:22] Dirk Klees: Following the slogan of the group "Our Members are the key element of this group", this site is made for you and this way will be continued.
[15:22] Morgue McMillan: :-)
[15:22] Dirk Klees: At least, you are the ones who fill this site with life. Your comments and suggestions will be taken serious, so dont hesitate to contact me later.
[15:23] Dirk Klees: Until now, the new website is still operated in "Beta Test Mode". That means, that its still not the official Website of our Group.
[15:23] Dirk Klees: The Admirals and I wanted to receive some first comments and reactions about it, to see if you would like it and what we can make better. They will inform you when they switch it officially.
[15:23] Dirk Klees: SLQuadrant.com will also be an Important Information source for RL-Visitors who never heard about us.
[15:23] Flight Band: All Go
[15:24] Totalus Karas: Thank you for listening and I will now hopefully try to answer your questions time permitting, if I feel they're are too many to answer then I will have to do as I said in the beginning.
[15:24] Dirk Klees: The Website offers Informations about the group, just basic Informations for now but i hope to amplify the Information Section "About SLQ" in cooperation with the Division Leads and The Admirals. Every help is welcome.
[15:24] Dirk Klees: Some of you already found our new Chat System, which you can find in the Header Menu. Specially when SL is down, its a very nice tool to stay in contact with each other.
[15:24] Dirk Klees: Also a very helpful invention, our own Image-Gallery, where you can upload your Pictures taken in SL.
[15:25] Dirk Klees: During the next Weeks, the website will offer you a lot more things like now... im working on different new Services, like an own Freemail-Service where you can get your own email-account (your.name@slquadrant.com) or in-world-tools like a registration machine for the personnel officers which will register new Cadets without Opening the Web-Browser... and a lot more.
[15:25] Dirk Klees: I hope you will enjoy the new possibilities and i hope also, that this new website will have a positive effect for our community to get more close together.

[15:35] You: Science Chief Lt Vanessa Noarlunga
[15:35] Totalus Karas hollars
[15:36] Vanessa Noarlunga: Science Report 16 Dear Fellow Officers and Sentient beings. Lat two weeks have been hectic in real life as I am in a hot phase of my work that also meant I was somewhat less in Second life than I usually was. Still the men, women and beings in my department worked hard and made great progress.
[15:36] Vanessa Noarlunga: As usual I am cutting and pasting my report. I have a lot to say so I will go, perhaps a little fast, but the entire report is as usual available in Note card form either from Picard Maladay or me. Also Science reports past and present can be checked out at www.sfcslq-science.com/ (the site is up but is under construction and will be operational by the end of the week).
[15:36] Vanessa Noarlunga: 1) The ANTI LAG research project under Afalaota Cummings peaked last week as we represented our research and SFCSLQ at the ITE 2007. www.thev3group.com/ite.html with a booth and representation as well as an interview that has been broadcasted on BBC and the interview will be available to all to watch on www.slcn.tv/shows/specials/shows/specials by latest Wednesday, next week. Afalaota Cummings has been absent from SL and SFCSLQ since the 4th of this month with his whereabouts unknown.
[15:37] Vanessa Noarlunga: I am in contact with a friend of his who speaks with him on Messenger but he too has not heard from Afa for over 3 weeks. I am giving the lead of the LAG research to a new lead, which will be announced later this week. Afalalota is a good friend and a very talented individual and when he comes back he most likely will lead the SLQ-Art department as he really enjoys working with textures. Afa did great work and I truly hope his absence is of technical nature and he is okay, lets all hope and pray he comes back safe and sound
[15:37] Vanessa Noarlunga: 2) TEN FORWARD is completely remodeled and is under the new lead of Tal Dix , yes our Tal Dix and if I tell you he wears science blue (occasionally) you might not believe me but it is true! He did a marvelous job and made ten forward a true landmark and place to be. I am still working on the streaming videos again. The previous service I used was maxing out with eight or more watchers and not suitable for an audience type environment. Please bear with me, but I expect Film / video service to be fully restored by Thursday and with the showing of Star Trek 1 The motion picture. Currently TOS episodes can be watched.
[15:37] Totalus Karas seconds that
[15:38] Rowan Jacobus: yay
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: 3) LINGUISTICS – Hugh Dench is probably one of my very best leads, he took an idea and made it into a very active group with lots of active members. He continues to implement new programs and activities and I am so proud of him and his Linguistic Experts, who made the Linguistic Department the envy of other SIMS and groups SL wide!
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: 4) SCIENCE STATION SAGITARIUS – Don’t think I am mutating behind this lectern, I am just growing a few inches due to pride, because of what Rod Halberd, Paula Dix and the entire SSS team accomplished far above Carnivale Island (one of my SIMS). The SS Sagittarius is a marvel to behold. Simply to look at it is eye candy to any Star Trek fan, but more so it is a functional environment with more things to see than Disney land.
[15:38] Ryan Franciosa: Congrats
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: SSS is a SFCSLQ outpost and every one in our organization is more than welcome to plan and use the station as a role play location. SCIENCE STATION SAGITARIUS
[15:38] Jessica Kanahoe: /title red unknow rank
[15:39] Vanessa Noarlunga: RULES AND REGULATIONS 1.0 SS-SAGITARIUS is an auxiliary outpost to Starfleet Command Second Life Quadrant 2.0 SS-SAGITATIUS is a permanent role play environment. That means when you step aboard you are in Character. All conversations are considered IC (in character). Conversations and comments that are not in Character are to be expressed in chat like this: << OOC: Let’s have lunch >>. OOC = Out of Character.
[15:39] Jin Tao claps
[15:39] Vanessa Noarlunga: 3.0 SS-SAGITARIUS is under the Command of Captain Rod Halberd. The space station is not a democracy but a paramilitary environment with orders and a rank structure. 4.0 Visitors are asked to obtain a visitor tag and not interrupt role play in progress. Disruptive visitor will be ejected and can be banned from the site, regardless of position and rank in other SIMS.
[15:39] Vanessa Noarlunga: 5.0 SS-SAGITARIUS is operated under the direction of the SFCSLQ-Science Department and provides its own security. 6.0 Only SS-SAGITARIUS personnel may display or carry weapons. 7.0 Visitors and members are asked not to display avatars that do not fit the general theme. Members who play an avatar inconsistent with the Star Trek Universe must prepare a “Xeno biological Note card” describing their race and character and must be approved by an SSS-Command level officer.

[15:40] Vanessa Noarlunga: 8.0 Nudity, obscene RP and foul language are not permitted. Exceptions may be permitted during Role Play by the conduction Role Play lead. 9.0 ALL SECOND LIFE TOS RULES APPLY 10.0 All SIM rules apply ROLE PLAY SESSIONS must be scheduled ahead and the RP group must begin RP and end RP in AEON at the RP Hub.
[15:40] Vanessa Noarlunga: Currently SS SAGITARIUS is under construction and NOT OPEN for RP. An announcement will be made when the Station is open for RP. Tours of the station are possible, but please contact any of the Senior Station Managers and officers before hand so tours will not interfere with the final building work. A special mail box is set up fro this purpose at the Science Office.
[15:41] Vanessa Noarlunga: 4) MEDICAL: As you know our talented, somewhat grumpy but deeply respected Xantin has stepped down as chief of medical. Over the past month Xantin became a very good friend of mine. Xantin is currently considering the post of chief of Life sciences which suits his schedule and interests better (I hope). I had no chance to talk to Deej yet as of his plans but a new medical CMO is currently considered by me, a person which is a RL medic and if everything works out she will bring a new level of medical “realism” to the Medical department.
[15:41] Vanessa Noarlunga: 5) COUNSELING: Our industrious and always helpful Dolamite Giffin is currently challenged with a whole series of RL family problems and is somewhat less visible lately. He is still in charge and his Counseling department is still growing and doing marvelous work
[15:41] Vanessa Noarlunga: 6) RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: Not much to say here, Andromeda Quonset is working on Galaxy and his department and I am sure you have or will hear a report from him today.
[15:42] Vanessa Noarlunga: 7) The ROC project is going into the hot phase as of next week. As both OROC and EUROC have their permanent HQ’s assigned and we will make a series of announcements over various channels to promote the groups and make their work and purpose transparent to all. and you have heard the report to the beginning of the GM
[15:42] Vanessa Noarlunga: 8) XENOMUSICOLOGY – I had no chance to talk to my lead in that department last week but as I understand he is doing fine and making progress
[15:42] Vanessa Noarlunga: 9) QPEDIA- Melon Edelweiss leading the Q pedia group will be focus of a series of activities and projects over the next few weeks. 10) NNZ : the Noarlunga Neutral Zone is under construction .
[15:42] Vanessa Noarlunga: 11) DEF SYS: A new phaser rifle and Star trek themed weaponry is being developed. The new phaser rifle is currently with Tactical and the Admiralty for evaluation. 12) The X TEAM (eXtreme) is fully staffed and operates with awesome results. If you didn’t fall asleep yet or cursed me to Hell (or any similar place) for that long report of mine. I am open for a few short questions.
[15:42] Vanessa Noarlunga: And this concludes my long rport..you may shoot me now

[15:14] Ryan Franciosa: hello

[15:28] Dirk Klees: Charlie?
[15:28] Charlie Laffer: might we see a wiki on that site? That could be good for providing information on how the group structure works and such ^^

[15:29] Dirk Klees: THat shouldnt be a problem, i can put it on my to-do list
