[15:08] Ethan Muldoon: The Expo itself runs for 10 days and will end on April 4th. However last weekend probably saw the most traffic with the beginning of the Expo and the Presentations by several of the participating exhibitors.
[15:08] Ethan Muldoon: SFCSLQ aquired two booths. Thanks goes out to Jin Tao for his work in setting up the booth.
[15:09] Ethan Muldoon: For those of you that got a chance to see the booth, I am sure you will agree.
[15:09] Ethan Muldoon: I also had the honor of presenting a presentation about or group and what we had to offer. I believe it was received well, and those in attendance had some excellent questions about our group.
[15:09] Ethan Muldoon: The Personnel sub-division was charged with manning the booth, and I would to take this opprtounity to thank everyone that was there and helped out. No amount of time was too small.
[15:10] Ethan Muldoon: Being that their presence went a long way in showing what we have to offer as a community and team work we display, I feel as I must take a moment to list those individuals that helped man the booth:

[15:17] Al Kaiser thinks thank goodness i don't have to go to the academy again
[15:17] Warren Holt smiles
[15:17] You: SFCSLQ. 11. Division reports. Maximum 2 minutes each division and sub-division. PLEASE!
[15:18] Morgue McMillan smiles
[15:18] You: due to time constraints, Lt jg Ludo Merit will give a speech 1st, then she has to depart on some previous engagements
[15:18] You: Lt jg Ludo Merit please
[15:19] Ludo Merit: Many of you know that I have been interested in JAG since last November. I have been involved in developing judicial procedures both in SFCSLQ and in the Confederation of Democratic Sims (CDS).
[15:19] Ludo Merit: Setting up a judicial system will always lead to controversy. As Surak said, conflict is neither good nor bad, it
simply is. Any system of judging and imposing penalties for rule infractions will have opponents. In the CDS they have been working on a system for five months and still don't have one.
[15:20] Ludo Merit: I have listened to many opinions and read, I believe, every JAG proposal. Last night I read a judicial structure and procedure proposal that I think will work, and that I support wholeheartedly.
[15:20] Ludo Merit: That was the 27th that I read the proposal.
[15:21] Ludo Merit: Lt. Vanessa Noarlunga spent two months on it and incorporated ideas from many of the proposals I've read. The objections and concerns I have had and have heard are well addressed. I hope we will try it and support it. I am eager to talk to anyone who has doubts about it.
[15:21] Ludo Merit: The proposal I just read suggested me as Chief Justice. I am highly complimented and proud. If our uniforms had hats mine would have to be resized.
[15:21] Ludo Merit: However, I cannot take the post of Chief Justice. Before I was Chief Advocate, something like Chief defense attorney, and I wasn't completely comfortable with that. As you know, my main interest is Prism, my RPG, and some of you know I just bought an island for it. That's one reason I don't want the job.
[15:22] Ludo Merit: However, the main reason I don't want it is more basic. I am sixty-six years old (and proud of it.) I know myself pretty well by now. I know my (faults? let's not call them faults, that word is too harsh) foibles. I know how hard I really am to live with, and so does my husband of almost 45 years.
[15:22] Ludo Merit: I have been truly and generously blessed. Like the woman who washed Jesus' feet with her hair and tears, I have been forgiven much, by many. I cannot set myself up as judge, penalizing people for things I have been forgiven for. It would make me miserable to do that. There is nothing wrong with being Chief Justice in SFCSLQ, it's just that I can't do it.
[15:22] Ludo Merit: If I have helped anyone, if I have shown love to anyone in SFCSLQ, it is because I have been forgiven, not judged as I deserve to be judged, in my life. I will teach coaching and SociaLogic. I will serve as a Counselor. I will be available to advise the people who will make JAG work. I can't lead it.
[15:23] Ludo Merit: Thank you, Vanessa, for your trust. Thanks to all of you who have put thought and effort into JAG and shared that with me. Please forgive me for not serving SFCSLQ as Chief Justice.
[15:23] Ludo Merit: I wrote that last Wednesday and still feel the same. Thank you for listening.
[15:24] Ludo Merit: Questions?
[15:24] Samael Enigma raises her hand
[15:24] Ludo Merit: Samael?
[15:25] Si Arcadia raises hand.
[15:25] Samael Enigma: Ludo, you've served with distinction and honor since you first arrived here. I hope you do realize that the
compassion and humilty you have shown here today by making that statment will only encourage many to feel you are best suited to that Chief Justice role.
[15:25] Ludo Merit: Samael, perhaps I would be well suited if I could bring myself to do it.
[15:25] Samael Enigma: I am sure many would wish you to reconsider, but I fully support your decisions against.
[15:26] Ludo Merit: Si?
[15:26] Si Arcadia: May I ask the direction of your "soon to be" island?
[15:26] Si Arcadia: (Any SF relations?)
[15:26] Ludo Merit: I have been working on a role playijng game called Prism. It's new headquarters will be on that island along with 2 other groups with similar aims.
[15:27] Si Arcadia: Thank-you.
[15:27] Ludo Merit: OK?
[15:30] You: ty Ltjg Ludo Merit for that very nice speech
[15:30] You: your work has not gone unnoticed
[15:31] You: Lt Cmdr Qlet sends his apologies
[15:31] You: he is on call in rl, police emergencies
[15:31] You: he was on his way to a call a few minutes ago
[15:32] Xantin Olejniczak: How very inconsiderate the criminal underword is! ;o)
[15:32] You: so, probably about now hes saying...."Freeze sucka........
[15:32] You:
[15:32] Si Arcadia smiles.
[15:32] Hugh Dench smiles
[15:32] Katsuhito Tal: >.>
[15:32] Totalus Karas: I pity the fool that messes with Qlet
[15:32] Morgue McMillan: ^^
[15:32] Samael Enigma: Stop! Or I'll say stop again!
[15:32] Katsuhito Tal facepaws.
[15:33] Andromeda Quonset: The criminal underworld deserves 10 demerits for failing to make an appointment with Qlet.
[15:33] You: then he gets his cuffs out and the chief says...."Book em Qlet!.....
[15:34] Al Kaiser chuckles
[15:34] You: so, anyway, that has been our security report for this week
[15:34] You: moving on...
[15:34] Vanessa Noarlunga: yeah but the decay rate of the maggots in the deceased wounds clearly indicates..that you Mr Mechanique watched to mcuh CSI
[15:34] Si Arcadia claps.
[15:34] Si Arcadia: claps.
[15:34] You: we will now hear a serious report from our Science Chief, Lt Vanessa Noarlunga !
[15:35] Vanessa Noarlunga: Science Report 13 Vanessa Noarlunga , Chief Science Officer Good afternoon fellow officers and sentient beings.
I hope you all brought coffee, pillows and lots of patience because I decided to cut and paste the entire Encyclopedia Galactica. I estimate we will be done around march 2020…
[15:35] Vanessa Noarlunga: JUST KIDDING…;-) It’s a normal report no worries. I do cut and paste and if I am to fast…say something and a copy of it is, as always available from me or Mr Maladay.
[15:35] Totalus Karas: lol
[15:36] Vanessa Noarlunga: 1) A word about Science Department activities. There is a big difference between a Department and a temporary work group or project office. For example the PCLO work group and the OROC are not divisions but work groups that analyze a problem or idea and put it into a form that can be utilized in the environment of Second Life. Once the objective is reached the groups will be dissolved or
integrated in one of the existing departments. To give you an analogy in RL committees and work groups are formed within governments, companies and military.
[15:36] JZ-TV whispers: Setting Channel:06 (Snow Boarding Channel)
[15:36] Vanessa Noarlunga: 2) The PCLO for example researches ways and tools to make SL more accessible to handicapped people, it was an idea and activity close to Picard Maladay’s heart and so we formed the PCLO work group. It made progress in coding and developing a text emitting door bell, and will work on a pod cast and slide show series to teach Sign language to interested parties.(Within conjunction of
the Academy) two officers within the PCLO group are currently researching if there are folks with other handicaps that face challenges to enjoy SL and specifically SFCSLQ. Once these goals are reached and research is concluded. The PCLO will dissolve into Linguistics and make the research results and products available through a “desk” within that group.
[15:37] Vanessa Noarlunga: 3) The OROC (Oceanic Regional Operations Center) was born during our participation at the Weapons Expo. As several Australian recruits expressed their desire to join SFSLQ but lamented the fact that most of the groups main activities occur when they are not online. Similar responses came from our European members. So OROC and the planned EUROC will work on tools and ways to make
group activities and facilities accessible 24/7. This will include a camera team that will record the GM or other activities, supplement it with chat logs. Also academy training and Cadet training is planned to be worked into Pod casts and interactive web pages where the academy
training and future courses can be accessed 24/7. Once the problematic is analyzed and the tools developed OROC and EUROC will dissolve / evolve by giving the tools developed to the Academy and merge also with Linguistics.
[15:37] Main Audititorium Seat Section: Script run-time error
[15:37] Main Audititorium Seat Section: Stack-Heap Collision
[15:37] Xantin Olejniczak: (Vanessa, I thought you were JOKING about the copy and paste of an encyclopedia... ;o))
[15:37] Vanessa Noarlunga: Sorry..it's the abridged version...a throug K
[15:37] Xantin Olejniczak: Ahhh, ok. ;o)
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: As for my departments: Medical, Counseling and Research they are humming along just fine, as usual in real life and in Second life there are problems and challenges but they are
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: faced head on and dissolved or tackled by what I believe is the most talented awesome collection of individuals assembled.
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: The Weapon Expo: It was an idea from Admiral Katrina Bixby. And there where voices in our organization who rolled their eyes and questioned the decision of our participation in such an event. Let me sum up to you some of the results our participation at that expo: We gained exposure, we have our first own short Machinima clip. Departments worked together of which Personnel
did a most wonderful job with manning the booth 24/7 and providing information to interested individuals.
[15:38] Vanessa Noarlunga: I know of at least 1o new recruits that joined us because of it. The very owner of the Armory Island and two very talented and long time SL participants joined us as members! If those aren’t results to be proud of Katrina , I don’t know what is…So let’s give her a hand. ..You may call me a brown nosing busybody but since I joined SLQ I heard voices of critique concerning Katrina Bixby.
The always came from the same source and same direction and I won’t go into who or what but all of you who are in SLQ for a while know what I am talking about.
[15:39] Vanessa Noarlunga: No one is perfect, NO ONE, not even me..;-) but if you step back and put your feelings and all the gossip and politics aside and analyze Katrina’s daily work and efforts with a clear and open mind you realize she works hard for the group and does it with the best intentions for the group.
[15:39] Warren Holt claps
[15:39] Jimbu Watanabe claps
[15:39] Vanessa Noarlunga: Not every decision made will be liked by everyone , not every decision made will be perfect or the best one but I ask all of you : Who of you has experience in actually being in charge of a 600+ member group? I am not talking about RL where you pay folks or select them…I am talking about Second life where everyday is a challenge to balance all those individual wishes and egos.
Presidents of Nations who have highly paid advisors make decisions not every one likes or even make mistakes or reach decisions which are in retrospect not the best….so let me conclude this little speech with this: THANK YOU KATRINA
[15:40] Morgue McMillan claps
[15:40] Vanessa Noarlunga: And yes that concludes my report today....Otehr than that I encourage everyone in Science to participate in "THE ABOUT ME " program (Details on the board at the sciecne office

[15:41] Totalus Karas claps
[15:41] Samael Enigma raises her hand
[15:41] Vanessa Noarlunga: Yes Samael?
[15:42] Samael Enigma: you said the machinima film was a big success. When do you wish to start on new ones for the group?
[15:42] Vanessa Noarlunga: As soon as we have teh facilities in place Samael and that can take a week or so...Linden is not the fastest organization
[15:42] Samael Enigma nods
[15:42] Samael Enigma: Understood. Thank you
[15:43] Vanessa Noarlunga: I think I am done here Sir, may I be dismissed?
[15:43] You: yes, Lt Vanessa Noarlunga
[15:43] You: ty for your report
[15:44] You: next report by Lead Medical, Lt Xantin Olejniczak
[15:44] Xantin Olejniczak: Evening all. )
[15:45] Xantin Olejniczak: I shall appologies now as, although possibly not as long, it is likely my report will be considerably more tedious than the pervious one!
[15:45] Xantin Olejniczak: I wish to cover 2 topics, firstly the subdivs work. )
[15:46] JZ-REMOTE-CONTROL whispers: Setting URL for The Beatles Anthology
[15:46] Xantin Olejniczak: Unfortunately both meetings for the subdiv (senior officers and general) were cancelled this week so work has been delayed. I have had a direct request from the fadm for new project and I will hopefully be able to announce these shortly! The new general subdiv meeting will now be held at 1500 tomorrow. )
[15:46] Xantin Olejniczak: The subdiv is still growning steadily & we are recruiting some excellent workers, I hope that our new projects, although delayed, will be impressive.
[15:47] Xantin Olejniczak: Anybody interested in medical, please complete the application form outside the temp officers in Aeon.
[15:47] Xantin Olejniczak: Any questions about our work before I move on?
[15:47] Xantin Olejniczak: Moving on then...
[15:48] Xantin Olejniczak: To explain why the subdiv meeting was cancelled...on Thursday when we were due to meet Aeon was subject to a rather unfortunate griefer attack (somebody set off a jenga set the size of the empire state building)
[15:48] Xantin Olejniczak: I would like to offer my personal thanks to several officers who assisted myself & the other senior staff in the following clean up.
[15:49] Xantin Olejniczak: Dwain Lancaster, Christopher Molinaro and Jonathan Heaney all deserve high praise for their quick response & following of instructions handed out to them in an attempt to keep Aeon av-free while the clean up was under way and to explain the reasons for the problem.
[15:49] Xantin Olejniczak: Jyrass Wilder also deserves praise for her support and organisation in the 1st round of the cleanup.
[15:50] Katsuhito Tal: Jyrras*
[15:50] Xantin Olejniczak: I would also like to thank both Admiral Mechanique & Fleet Admiral Bixby for their prompt appearance to resolve the issue. )
[15:50] Katsuhito Tal: Jyrras*
[15:50] Xantin Olejniczak: I would also like to thank both Admiral Mechanique & Fleet Admiral Bixby for their prompt appearance to resolve the issue. )
[15:51] Xantin Olejniczak: Finally, a special thanks & commendation is deserved by Katsuhito Tal for his equally quick response & the speed in which he (at personal cost) arranged for contact to be made with the relevant members of the senior staff to resolve the issue. He also deserves praise for organisation in the clean up and helping to maintain order. )
[15:51] Xantin Olejniczak: I think that covers everything. )
[15:51] Xantin Olejniczak: Any questions?
[15:53] Xantin Olejniczak: Very well, I take my leave of you all, with a request that if any of you feel that somebody within the sim deserves praise or thanks, refer it on to your commanding officer so it can be recognised officially.
[15:53] Xantin Olejniczak: )
[15:53] Morgue McMillan claps to all involved

[15:17] You: we are happy to have someone who served with distinction back among us
[15:17] You: and now, to the reports!
[15:40] Andromeda Quonset claps

[15:40] Vanessa Noarlunga: Any questions?
[15:41] Si Arcadia claps.
[15:41] Si Arcadia: claps.
[15:53] Journey Juran claps
