Galaxy Sim One Year Celebration!

should we have a theme? We were Starfleet Command, Then United Federation of Second Life, then SFCSLQ. After building all of these to the largest Star Trek organized groups in SL Tables turned, to enable us to take the group to its own sim. Galaxy will be one year old. To celebrate the many contributions of members and the Scifi community we will focus efforts to host a celebration! Currently the date is scheduled for February 19, 2007! (monday, Presents day in us,holiday).

Whitewolf has provided the venue, and some entertainment. I was given info about a Live SL entertainer!

Any ideas! for enhancement of SFCSLQ Galaxy sim celebration?

Since it's an anniversary, we could go all 'TOS' and have everything in that style. We could hand out TOS uniforms to members and ask them to wear those for that weekend. If we can make a TOS bridge we can even change the RP sets to match.

I suppose when the Engineering Dept gets back on we could make TOS sets.

The original series uniforms I like that! I will discuss it with the activities division.

A lead on good quality TOS uniforms has been secured, but at no less than 200L$ per person. Needless to say, the designer of these uniforms is not a SFCSLQ member and will not settle for less than this price. Initial negotiations for a bulk rate have also been unsuccessful. I'd rather we had our people dressed in QUALITY uniforms rather than low quality freebies that look terrible.

Thank you for your input. However you are correct that the uniforms in the Libaray are free, but not low budget nor poor quality. I like them! A member made them for the group. Have you see the uniform? Try it on it is very nice. At least that is my opinion. If your prefer another movie era style or make, go for it!
Or you have a option to not spend your hard earn Linden. Smiles....
