To StarFleet Personnel,

I am taking personal leave starting from 1 April 2007 until 17 April 2007.

I appreciate that with the establishment of the new Academy this is a particularly inconvenient time for such a request but the circumstances cannot be helped: I have family matters that I need to attend to offworld (i.e. going overseas in RL). I trust that my very capable staff will keep the Academy in good working order.

During my absence, my duties will be shared between the Vice Commandant, LTJG Dolamite Giffen and the Superintendent, LT Ekevu Lian. They are respectively handling the new Cadet induction curriculum and instructor selection. These tasks will be done In collaboration with the Personnel subdivision lead officer LTCDR Stones Petty.

During my shoreleave, I will be in irregular contact through this webforum.

Unfortunately due to RL (medical) reasons, I will be extending my leave of absence by one week. My apologies for any disruptions this will cause. I trust that my very capable staff will keep things going.

I am happy to say that I have returned from leave.

In the coming weeks I hope to get up to speed with what has transpired in SLQ and get the Academy rolling as planned.
