Group tag reshuffle

Hello All,

In line with the revamping of the Academy is the reorganisation of the "StarFleet Academy SLQ" group. The most obvious change will be restricting the membership of this group to only new recruits (i.e. Cadets) and Senior Staff. Those members who are already officers will be removed from this group.

As a corollary, once a Cadet graduates and is promoted to Ensign, s/he shall be removed from the StarFleet Academy SLQ group. This however has no bearing on whether or not s/he can attend Academy courses.

This change of tagging system will help us to better gauge our Cadet population and allow us to use group announcements without spamming the entire membership.

I forgot to mention, as a result of the abovementioned reshuffling, you might find your tags renamed or find yourself removed from the group entirely.

Please don't take such actions personally, if you have a place in the new Academy you will certainly be invited back in.

As yet, we have no courses running so presently there will be no one with the SFA Instructors tag. The Deans of various disciplines at the Academy will be appointed in the coming weeks as overseen by the Academy Superintendent.

Also, since the Academy Air Corps has its own group for its pilots, there is no longer such a tag in the SFASLQ group. The Air Chief and his Assistant will retain their places on the SFA Senior Staff.

Following on from yesterday's announcement:

If you are NOT A CADET please remove yourself from the StarFleet Academy SLQ group. The only exceptions are those who are Academy staff. This will greatly help us in our planned launch of the new revamped Academy.

With regards to SFA Instructors, unless you are presently teaching the Cadet-Ensign class, please remove yourself from this group also.

A call for basic training instructors will be made soon.
