After several meetings and discussions with members The group leadership has concluded to have only 4 divisions int he group with numerous subdivisions.
The Divisions are
COMMAND
Regulations
Personnel
Publicity
Activities
Asset management
SCIENCE
Research
Medical
counseling
SECURITY
Tactical
Intelligence
Weapons
LOGISTICS
Engineering
Graphics
Construction

I like the way the Divisions structure is heading. I think it makes a lot of sense for maintaining Star Fleet in SL and keeping with the Star Fleet theme. However (you knew i would not keep quite long) the name "Divisions" has always bothered me. I have always viewed Divisions as a military term attached to the Army not the Navy. I did a little research and would like to propose the following. Divisions be changed to Commands. for example Command Division -> Fleet Command Science Division -> Science Command Security Division -> Security Command Logistics Division -> Logistics Command The sub-divisions would be changed to Sections. So the structure would look like this as an example Science Command: _____________________________ Research Section Chief: __________________________ Medical Section Chief: ___________________________ Conselor Section Chief: __________________________ BTW Chief does not imply rank, if it did it would be written "Chief of .........."
